A while ago I saw the cutest owl stuffed animal at Pier One and I really wanted it but it was $25! I am so cheap. I decided to try and make an owl. This was just a test run, so I used my scrap fabric, but I think it is a cute little guy! Now that I have sort of an idea of what I want, I think I will try to make a bigger one with some fabric that makes it look like a more legit stuffed animal:)
*I don't really know of anyone who looks at my craft blog, so I never bother with tutorials. But if anyone wants to know how I did something just leave a comment and I would gladly share:)

Little Stuffed Owl
New Pillows
I have been wanting to make pillows for my hideous couch for a while, but I just never got around to it. I finally found the kind of fabric I wanted, but I was too cheap to pay 18 dollars for a yard! So I got half a yard (and ended up getting it on sale), and then got some cheap gray fabric and gray lace for the back side. Mustard and gray make me happy, throw in some turquoise and I'm the happiest! Well there is no turquoise, but I really like how they turned out:)

Halloween Wreath
I am on a 2 week break from school so I wanted to make a Halloween wreath and a Christmas wreath before I have to go back. I haven't gotten to the Christmas one, but I was able to get a Halloween wreath made. One down!

Window and wreath
Like I said before, I have been trying to get rid of the black that was in my kitchen. I had a big black clock on the wall, and I wanted to put a cute decorative window there instead. Luckily, I found exactly the window I wanted at an antique mall. It was hideous when I bought it, but it was just the size and shape I was looking for. My dad put some nails in it to stabilize the loose wood, and then spray painted it cream. I was planning on putting scrapbook paper in some of the windows, but then I saw this tutorial, and I knew what I wanted to do! So here it is, my cute cream window with my cute turquoise wreath:)

Easy T-shirt
I was looking at craft blogs the other day and I came across this post with the easiest t-shirt refashion! So I went out and bought a six dollar shirt at target and sewed on some lace I found at Hobby Lobby. So easy! (I am standing weird so it looks a little off:)

Mustard Skirt
Dressing up the Piano.....
I inherited a piano from my grandma who passed away recently. It is a 70 year old piano and I love knowing that I am playing on the same piano my grandma played when she was 8 years old. Yesterday I went and got some cute fabric to cover the worn piano seat, and I also made a little runner to go on the top of the piano. I still need to add a few items to the top of the piano (including a lamp shade for the lamp:), but it is coming together I think! I love the new seat cover for the bench! (The lighting is bad and doesn't really do it justice)
Rosette Necklace
So one day while Trey was taking a nap I wanted to practice making fabric rosettes. I had only made one rose before so I wanted to get better at it. Well after I made a few flowers, this is what they turned into. A nice spring necklace:)
Easter Skirt
I have made one skirt in my life so far and I had a hard time with the measurements, and an especially hard time with the zipper. I wanted to make a skirt for Easter and not deal with a stupid zipper, so I tried using some elastic. I had never used elastic before and I didn't use a pattern for this one so it was kind of crazy for me! I actually did end up wearing it to church, and it didn't even fall apart! I'm not in love with it, but it worked ok:)
Flower Bag
When I should have been studying for finals I decided to try and make a purse. This one I made was really a tester to see if I could make it, I wanted to use thicker fabric for the real one to make it more sturdy. I just used some fabric that I had in my fabric box, and I ended up really liking the way it turned out. I saw the tutorial on a blog, if you donated at least $8 to Japan the lady who made the pattern would email it to you with the tutorial. I don't remember her blog though!! If I find it I will post it so you can make this cute bag:)

So since I have been making a lot of things lately and it's pretty much all I was posting about on my family blog, I decided to make a little personal blog of the sewing projects and crafts I try to make! Here we go!
